Assisted Stretch/Thai Table Bodywork

Assisted Stretching/Thai Table Bodywork

Assisted stretching meets the flowing movement of Thai bodywork.

I offer private, one-on-one Thai table stretching sessions at a dedicated bodywork space in New York City.

My approach to assisted stretching emphasizes flow rather than a series of disconnected stretches. I weave positions and techniques together into sequences, allowing the body to move naturally from one area to the next.

In these sessions, I draw more deeply from my training in Thai table stretching, incorporating assisted stretching, rhythmic movement, compression, traction and joint mobilization into a continuous, individualized experience.

The work can be dynamic and deeply relaxing at the same time, creating space to explore movement, reduce tension and simply decompress.

What Is Thai Table Stretching?

Traditional Thai stretching is typically practiced on a floor mat and incorporates assisted stretching, compression, rhythmic movement and joint mobilization.

Thai table work adapts many of these principles and techniques to a massage table. I've trained in Thai table work in both New York City and Montréal and continue to study and develop my practice.

My sessions bring this training together with more than two decades of experience in yoga, strength, mobility and assisted stretching.

There is no predetermined routine. I respond to how you're moving and feeling that day, creating sequences that may incorporate:

  • Assisted stretching

  • Thai table techniques

  • Rhythmic rocking and movement

  • Compression

  • Traction

  • Joint mobilization

  • Breath and relaxation
